The building is steeped in history and folklore dating back to the 13th Century and is a family run Inn situated right in the heart of Carrickfergus town centre.
Dating back to the 1600’s this building has had many roles including that of armoury, barracks, gaol and post office. Now a busy hostelry, Dobbin’s Inn has been extensively modernised yet still retains its traditional character including “Maud” the friendly ghost. Coffee and scones are available throughout the day. The ‘Paul Jones’ lounge bar serves a wide range of inexpensive lunches and also an evening grill menu.
